The white ovals in this model are the roles of the design process, technical on the left and business on the right. The client is at the top; the prototying team is in the middle.

The Domain Experts on the prototyping team are our business colleagues on the team who might or might not be programmers; we do not require them to write code.

Our goal here is to enable the Domain Experts to build the application layer without programming.

This will make the Domain Experts peers-in-construction with the Developers, improving communication within the team, tightening communication between the team and the client, improving requirement and prototype quality, and ultimately shortening development.
